Born in Florence in 1973, he attended the State Art Institute, where he graduated in the improvement of the Course of Furniture and Design. He then entered the KOUROS studio until 2001. After this experience, he joins the newly formed StudioFRAME in Florence, supporting them in various aspects of creative development.
Firmly convinced that good design is the necessary basic structure of each project, he loves to personally take care of all aspects, both creative and production set-up and claims that the material, in all its forms, must be chosen by necessity and not on a infruitless whim, a necessity that can be both technological and exquisitely expressive of the idea.
He believes that the designer must first and foremost be the interpreter and voice of the unexpressed needs of the last users, taking care of them and structuring them in order to reveal sensory needs otherwise disregarded.
Every practical aspect of industrial production therefore becomes an interesting and worthy field for comparison.
ROBERTO BENDINI
“Each and every sofa begins with a drawing, a sketch that is then brought to life by great design minds, and with the help of skillful hands – the design becomes a way of life.”
Roberto Bendini remains true to himself and his ethos. Every sofa design starts broadly with a drawing and evolves dramatically from there. His uncompromising aesthetic of elegance is honed by seeking inspiration from fashion, art and automotive design visionaries, and soaking in the mundane.
